Sponsorship When we started manufacturing cricket equipment in 2002, the aim of the company was to produce an exceptional product which would sell entirely on its own merit. 8 years later the ethos is unchanged and we remain a boutique manufacturing firm rather than a marketing company. The bats are a real product, not merchandise. Fortunately Matrrixx bats are used by many talented players, with or without our knowledge and/or endorsement and we continue to attract interest and acclaim from the cricketing fraternity. But crucially the bats remain in demand from the schoolboy cricketer who bats brilliantly with his S-10 harrow, or the league player who consistently scores during his weekend matches with his new Terminator Pro… the bats don’t just look the part, they really do play and inspire players using them. Cricketers come back for the same Matrrixx model time and again; this is how the S-10 and other models have earned their reputation despite the lack of high level endorsement. Junior Sponsorship Scheme Although full sponsorships with Matrrixx are rare (with a few deserving exception players), we have operated a discount scheme to help junior players representing their State for some years which has ensured that promising players have access to very special bats and equipment during these important years. A bespoke Matrrixx bat during the first formative seasons will undoubtedly reinforce a player's enjoyment of the game and show what skill and timing can do with the right bat in his or her hands. A few things to bear in mind before application are: 1. The scheme is for exceptional players who are playing for their State or country only. 2. This is a discount scheme, the details of which are only disclosed to successful applicants. 3. As our production capacity is limited, so is the number of spaces available on the scheme. It is designed for players at a high level who want to use the best possible bats and equipment. We would ask you not to apply if you are looking for the best ‘deal’, only if you want the best kit. 4. The scheme gives access to personal, tailor made Matrrixx bats and specialist equipment – the essence of sponsorship at any level. All bats are made to order. Sponsored bats also have special labels only available to eligible players. 5. Successful applicants will retain their place in the scheme for the duration of the cricket season; the scheme is revised each December at which point existing players are invited to re-apply. For most players this renewal will be a formality but all players must re-apply to obtain new season’s prices and scheme details.
